PWC Scholarship Request Form
Thank you for your interest in a scholarship for Piedmont Wildlife Center's camp and homeschool programs! We are always working to make our programming more accessible and welcome feedback. Any questions, comments or suggestions about our process can be sent to admin@piedmontwildlifecenter.org.

Scholarships are awarded based on fulfillment of eligibility requirements and quality of application, as long as funds are available. We recommend you complete this form as far in advance as possible to give you a better chance of securing a scholarship.

Requirements for 2024:

A letter of recommendation about the applicant, NOT written by a family member. Some possible recommenders could be a teacher, mentor, community leader, or family friend. The letter should be submitted to admin@piedmontwildlifecenter.org, with the child's name in the subject (ex. Reference Letter for {campers name}).

Some potential questions for your recommender to consider: How do you know the child? How could the child benefit from fostering a deeper connection with nature? Does the child show leadership skills? How does the child embody some of the core values (inclusivity, respect, gratitude, curiosity, awareness) of PWC? How will receiving a scholarship to attend our outdoor education programs help this child and their family?

Your scholarship application will be on hold until we receive the letter from the recommender.

If you are requesting multiple scholarships for your family, please make sure a letter of recommendation is submitted for each prospective camper

Scholarships are limited and dependent upon funding, so we ask our parents/guardians to pay whatever they are able so more individuals will be able to attend our programs. Please calculate this based on amount able to be contributed PER PROGRAM, even if applying for multiple.
