The Alabama Department of Mental Health will host its annual Capitol Showcase Consumer Art Exhibition during May 2021 to celebrate National Mental Health Month. As it ended up last year, this year it will also be virtual-only. Please join us by participating in this year’s art exhibition!

Eligibility

Artists who have experienced/are experiencing mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders currently living in Alabama are eligible to enter.

Rules

Artwork must be original and not previously shown in the Capitol Showcase. Since the show is virtual, a high quality digital PHOTO of your artwork is required - you will not have to mail or deliver your artwork to ADMH.
Artist’s STORY is just as important as their artwork — no entry will be accepted without a story.

Dates

Entry submission must be RECEIVED no later than April 9, 2021
Exhibition dates: May 2021

Sales

Artwork may be sold with the artist’s permission. The entire sales price goes directly to the artist.
