Royal Historical Society of Victoria (RHSV) Group Insurance Scheme 2024-2025
The Royal Historical Society of Victoria (RHSV), in association with Insurance Advisernet Australia Pty Ltd (IAA), has arranged access for its members to obtain various insurance coverages for our affiliated societies.

The aim of this online questionnaire is to collect data for the RHSV Group Insurance Scheme 2024-2025. The information collected will form the basis for the Group Insurance Scheme 2024-2025 and for any and all future claims. Based on your society's information provided to the RHSV in this questionnaire, we will issue an invoice / quote for insurance in early March for payment by 1 April 2024.

Duty of Disclosure
We also remind you of your Duty of Disclosure. Before you enter into or renew a contract of General Insurance with any insurer, you have a duty under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 to disclosure to the insurer every matter that you know or could reasonably be expected to know that is relevant to the insurer’s decision whether to accept the risk of insurance, and if so on what terms.

Through our association with IAA we have access to 4 different insurances offered under this scheme. Items 1-3 below have a flat fee premium for all historical societies:

1. Public Liability Insurance $20,000,000
2. Association Liability Insurance (Professional Indemnity $2,000,000 / Management Liability $1,000,000)
3. Voluntary Workers Insurance $2,000,000
4. Assets Insurance (has a variable premium based on the society's location and value of its assets).

To be part of the Group Insurance Scheme you need to (1) be a member of the RHSV, and (2) take out Public Liability Insurance. The other 3 insurances are optional depending on your society's needs.

NOTE: THE POLICIES HAVE A SHARED LIMIT AMONGST ALL NAMED AFFILIATED SOCIETIES. THEREFORE, IF THERE IS A CLAIM OR SERIES OF CLAIMS THAT EXHAUST THE POLICY LIMIT, COVERAGE UNDER THAT POLICY WILL CEASE UNTIL THE EXPIRY OF THAT POLICY PERIOD (1ST APRIL THE FOLLOWING YEAR).
