The Open Data Day Austin 2024 event will end in data hacking breakout sessions. They will run about 90 minutes. Each breakout group will be associated with a data topic: a question to answer, a visualization to construct, or an interesting dataset to explore. Each attendee can choose the group they want to join.
Use this form to propose a topic for a data hacking breakout.
Expectations for data topic proposers:
- You are registered for the event and will attend.
- Be prepared to deliver a 60-second pitch on your topic at the event, to help attendees choose which breakout to join.
- Understand that not all topics may be selected for participation.
- During the breakout, act as facilitator and subject matter expert.
- Be flexible and accommodate the skills and interests of the group.
- Be realistic about what can be delivered in the given time frame.
- Ensure the group identifies next steps, to allow continued community development.
- Identify a group member who will present a 3-minute summary of the work, discoveries, and next steps.
Be aware that the information you enter on this form will be public.
