Abstract: While, the COVID pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges to conducting scientific research, it may also yield particularly rich research studies for the community of management scholars. The goal of this PDW is to promote a better understanding of the rewards and pitfalls of research in the Organization of Science during the time of COVID. We’ll address COVID’s impact on the scientific research community and on the Organization of Science, with particular attention to potential research questions that might be addressed. To these ends, we have compiled a panel of leading scholars with interests ranging from cross-national; legal and institutional elements; the organization of labs; and gender dynamics of science. If you have any specific questions or topics you would like us to touch upon, please email them to chrisliu@uoregon.edu by August 23.
