During particularly busy times, you may receive multiple requests from different PTA VPs within a short time span. Please never feel obligated to assist with all requests; we just want our interested volunteers to know all of the opportunities that are available so that you can choose what works for you at any given time! Advocacy (identifies issues related to health and educational success of students)
Audit (audits and reviews PTA financial records)
Beautification - Exterior (flowers, landscaping, yard clean-up, etc.)
Beautification - Interior (decorating for special events, bulletin boards, design projects, etc.)
Book Fair (cashier, help students shop, etc.)
Community
Development (research, engage and establish community partnerships with
local businesses to create additional funding and sponsorship
opportunities)
Community Nights (organize fundraising nights at local restaurants and businesses)
Family Book Fair Night (plans and coordinates family-centered activities for fall Family Book Fair Night
Girls' Event (plans and coordinates annual Girls’ Dance)
Boys' Event (plans and coordinates annual Boys’ Event)
International Night (plans and coordinates annual International Night)
Membership (membership drive, entering PTA member info, etc.)
Partner Programs (Box Tops/Coca-Cola Give/Publix Partners/HT Tie)
Room Parents (oversees all room parents schoolwide and liaison between school and room parents)
School Fundraisers (helps plan and coordinate fundraising drives, including fall Boosterthon and spring Direct Give, if applicable)
Social Media & Communications (Parent Square weekly updates, social media updates, website, calendar, etc.)
Spirit Wear (design, sale and distribution of Spirit Wear merchandise through online store and events)
Staff
Appreciation (various fun events that express gratitude for our staff
such as Cookie Walk, SOUPer luncheon, staff appreciation week, etc.)
Supply Packs (organize and deliver supply packs before school begins in August)
Volunteer (oversees volunteer database and outreach)
Welcoming (welcome new families to the school; school tours)
