Dear Parents,

Christmas is coming up quick! So we are starting to sign students up for the Christmas Nativity Reenactment during the 4:30 pm Mass on Christmas Eve.

3rd through 8th grade students can sign up and every student who signs up will get a part. If there are multiple students signing up for the same role then we will have a drawing to break the tie. Students who are in choir can also be in the nativity, they would just join the choir after the nativity is finished.

Only 8th graders are allowed to sign up for the roles of Mary and Joseph. The “Big” Angels (there are two) and Star- Bearer can only be 7th or 8th graders.  The rest of the parts to sign up for are angels and shepherds, which can be played by any grade.

There will be two practices in the Church leading up to Christmas Eve: Monday, December 16th, from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm and Tuesday, December 17th, from 3:00 pm-3:45 pm. We would prefer for your child to attend both practices but if that is not possible please make sure they can be at the one on December 17th.

On Christmas Eve, students will need to be in the back of the church by 4:00 pm. Seats at Mass will only be reserved for the students that are in the play, not their family, so please plan accordingly.

If your child is interested, please have them fill out what role(s) they would like, get a parent’s signature, and turn the form in by Friday, December 13th.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the play, either with practices and during the production, or with costumes, please let us know. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
