The NW Black Male Academic Achievement Conference has created a scholarship in honor and memory of one of Washington's sons, Jose' Gutierrez. Jose' was a graduate of WSU, WWU, and Evergreen State College and a passionate community activist who used his creativity and love of the arts to make a difference in his community. His legacy of activism continues in his communities and the campuses he attended, including the WSU student organization he founded, Black Men Making a Difference (BMMAD), which continues to flourish decades later.
This scholarship will be awarded to a BMAAC Conference student who has demonstrated leadership on campus in activism.
By continuing below, you will begin the submission process for a nomination or self-nomination.
