One of your students is applying for a Counselor position with the REACH Program at Regis High School. Counselors serve as teaching assistants, academic advisers, instructors for electives, and recreation / activity directors in a summer program serving roughly 150 middle school students who come from largely immigrant and underserved backgrounds.

The summer program consists of a 6-week academic camp at the University of Scranton or Regis High School (July 7 –July 28) followed by a 3-week session of courses at Regis High School (July 31 – August 18). The position requires the ability to supervise students in various activities, to motivate students through positive encouragement and to cooperate effectively with adult members of the staff.
