Dancers will begin with a ballet barre, and center combo. We will then advance to learn combinations of various styles. Prepare to pick up new choreography quickly and dance in small groups for our faculty. Also prepare to improv. Don't stress! We make it FUN and there are no cuts during this process.
Be prepared to show special skills, and bring ALL dance shoes (including pointe shoes and tap shoes if you study those disciplines).
Hip Hop Co. and Tap Co. Auditions will be included in this audition process even if you are not seeking to be cast in a dance for these styles. This is because both styles have enormous benefits to your growth as a dancer, and if we see potential for you to grow and do well with adding these styles to your repertoire, we will invite you (cast you in the dance) of that style. You do reserve the right to decline the invitation.
Girls please dress in a black leotard and pink tights, with hair pulled back in a bun securely off the face. Boys please wear a white t-shirt and black dance tights or shorts. Dancers may bring clothing to put over their ballet attire for hip hop and tap.
Dancers will receive their placement letters by June 14th, 2024.
Signed company contracts (given at time of acceptance) are due no later than June 21st with a non-refundable fee of $250. This fee goes towards your season comp fees ($50 deposit per competition).
