In celebrating the life of Angelica Gutierrez at this funeral mass, we will observe the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The safety and wellbeing of all of our members is of the utmost importance. We strongly encourage anyone in a vulnerable population, including those with chronic health conditions and anyone older than 65 and/or are immunocompromised to remain healthy, pray virtually and watch the livestream from the safety of their home.

PLEASE NOTE: All attendees will be seated observing social distancing guidelines. The use of a face mask or face covering will be required at all times.

Health Status: It is essential that anyone who is exhibiting signs of COVID-19 or who has been exposed to the virus within 14 days not participate. By requesting to attend Mass or by volunteering to assist with Mass, you are attesting to the fact that neither you or members of your household are exhibiting any of the following symptoms:

Fever or chills · Cough · Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing · Fatigue · Muscle or body aches · Headache · New loss of taste or smell · Sore throat · Congestion or runny nose · Nausea or vomiting · Diarrhea

Choosing to attend mass in person is strictly voluntary. Exposure to COVID-19 can happen anywhere you visit, people you interact with, and surfaces you touch. We strongly encourage anyone who does not feel comfortable to attend mass in person, whether high risk or not, to remain home.

The following protocols must be followed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending the funeral:

Join the reservation list:
1. For assistance, you can call the Religious Education Office, weekdays between 10am-3pm at 310-822-1201

2. When submitting a request, you will need to provide your contact information and the names of members of your household that will be present. Others, such as friends or family who do not reside with you, must make separate requests. (Please note: If you will be accompanied to Mass by a caregiver, be sure to include that person in your request.)

Arrival and Check-In:
1. Parking will be available in the Garfield Lot and on the streets surrounding the Church. Arrive early as parking will be limited. The gates will be closed approximately 5 minutes before the start of Mass. No one will be admitted after the gate closes.

2. You will be directed to the check in area which will be behind the church building.

3. You will have the option to join the line for the viewing, which will take place from 9:00-10:00am or to take a seat for the funeral, which will begin at 10:00am.

4. Be prepared to answer the following respiratory and fever symptom questions. You and everyone in your vehicle must be able to answer NO to the following questions, otherwise you have to go home.
- Do you have a fever of more than 100.4 degrees?
- Do you have a sore throat?
- Are you coughing or sneezing?
- Are you experiencing body aches?
- Are you experiencing shortness of breath?
- Have you been caring for or in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with or showing symptoms of COVID-19?

Communion:
1. Before Communion, ministers of hospitality will come and offer hand sanitizer so you may sanitize your hands.

2. The Priest and Eucharistic Ministers, wearing a face mask, will come to each person individually to distribute Holy Communion. Communion will only be given on the hand.

Departure:
1. Follow the instructions of our ministers of hospitality who will direct you how to exit. Congregating is not permitted on the grounds. Everyone must depart at the conclusion of Mass.

PLEASE NOTE:
All coming to the church, either as worshiper or volunteer, need to be aware of the County guidelines for Home Quarantine after close contact with infected people. Saint Mark will register the names of all who enter the premises. In the case that a possible close contact with a COVID-19 patient has been confirmed, be reminded that those guidelines will go into effect.
