Year 6 to Year 7 Secondary Transition - September 2024 (Parents/Carers)
We are extremely proud to welcome you and your family to Granville Academy.

A young person's transition to secondary school is an important landmark in their educational journey. Although we appreciate that this is one that some can struggle with. We want to get to know you and your child.

We would like to invite you to share your views, as the parent/carer, to ensure that this transition is as successful as possible. Please complete the questionnaire below in relation to your child. Some of the questions may not appear directly relevant to you; please answer all of them, where possible, as any information that you can provide is extremely valuable to us.

Thank you in advance for your support.

At Granville Academy we value the role parents and carers play. We have launched Parent Guardians which is a unique opportunity to become an active voice to support Granville Academy in our collective journey in striving for excellence within our community for all stakeholders. Parental Guardians focus and direction will develop and grow through collaborative work with leaders within the Academy, although the main drive is around aiding and skilling parents/carers in supporting their children with homework & learning, raising aspirations and the development of “ParentPower” sessions. Sessions will be a maximum of once per half-term. Any current parent or carer can be a Granville Guardian. If you are interested in joining this group, please indicate below. By registering your interest you do not need to attend every session *
