Application for Non-Resident Admission
Thank you for your interest in Montgomery County Schools. If you are a non-resident family (living outside of Montgomery County) and would like for your child to attend Montgomery County Schools during the 2022-2023 school year, please complete this short application. If you have multiple children, please complete a separate application for each child your wish to attend MCS. Completion of this application does not guarantee enrollment. This only holds a spot for your child, pending completion of all enrollment processes and verifications. All enrollment decisions for the 2022-2023 school year will be made after July 1, 2022.

** By July 1, 2022, a board of education shall adopt a nonresident pupil policy to govern the terms under which the district shall allow enrollment of nonresident pupils. Upon allowing nonresident pupil enrollment, the policy shall allow nonresident children to be eligible to enroll in any public school located within the district. The policy shall not discriminate between nonresident pupils, but may recognize enrollment capacity, as determined by the local school district.
** Discipline, truancy, and academic performance may be taken into consideration when determining enrollment approval.  
** Any student who transfers enrollment from a district of residence to a nonresident district shall be ineligible to participate in interscholastic athletics for one (1) calendar year from the date of the transfer.
