This year's theme: Open ears, open eyes, open hearts, and open minds
 
One of our core philosophies at BREATHE is to celebrate the characteristics that make our attendees unique, and we recognize that our differences make us stronger. We actively seek to diversify our community to ensure that many different opinions and beliefs are part of and enrich our discovery journey. 

Therefore, we are calling for workshop facilitators and instructors that can help us open spaces which are can often be closed. We’re looking for people with diverse backgrounds and people with diverse mindsets to share their journeys and expertise.

At BREATHE, we take seriously the harmful impacts of cultural appropriation that are pervasive within festival environments. Indigenous sacred practices like yoga, chanting, drumming, native flute playing and body adornments such as bindhis and head dresses can be deeply offensive to those within the communities that birthed them. We ask that you please consider this and reflect on how to best honor and respect the traditions from which you are teaching.

BREATHE deeply values the time and energy every teacher & facilitator puts into sharing their passion at the festival. We are acutely aware of the positive impact your actions have on the BREATHE Community. The BREATHE Festival is built on a collection of activities, which together provide a platform for participants to undergo personal exploration and community awakening.

As we are a 100% volunteer run festival, the only payment requested of teachers and presenters is a facilities and camping fee of $90 for the full weekend. The vast majority of people attending BREATHE are not ticket holders. The vast majority of people at Breathe are composed of volunteer organizers, volunteer crew, on-site volunteers and teachers. We wouldn't have this any other way as this foundation is what made BREATHE the positive influence it is. This modest charge goes towards supporting the festival's infrastructure, which includes water supply, bathroom facilities, ground services and equipment rental. It enables us to make sure you have a safe and comfortable environment while you navigate your experiential teaching and learning.
