Leadership Application Process:

1. Applicant reads and abides by the band handbook (located on masonbands.com), leadership application, and the Marching Band Schedule.
2. The applicant completes the leadership Google form application by April 17, 2020  
3. Individual interviews and conducting auditions for drum majors with directors will be scheduled the following week via Zoom or Google if we are not yet back in school.
4. The 2020 William Mason High School Marching Band Student Leadership Team will be selected by May 1.
5. Leadership Team Building and training will begin mid to late May, with meetings likely to be weekly until minicamp begins (Virtual or in-person meetings).

What is leadership? It has been defined as "the ability of an individual to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward the effectiveness and success of the organizations of which they are members.” Traits of a leader include proficiency, example setting, integrity, servitude,  trust, respect, communication skills, and forward-thinking.


-Results for Drum Major, Woodwind, and Brass leadership positions will be posted May 1

-Percussion and guard members should complete this form; however, their leadership positions will not be posted until after auditions are complete (Posting dates for guard and percussion will be announced at a later date)
