CONSIDERATION FORM 2020-2021
It's hard to believe, but we are beginning the process of grouping students for next year!  We are currently gathering information to help create balanced classrooms.  As part of this process, we want to provide families with the opportunity to share valuable insight.  This consideration form is for you, as families, to provide us with specific information about your child that is beneficial for our BCES team as we work to best determine next year's placement. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT REQUESTS FOR SPECIFIC TEACHERS. Please complete one form for each of your children.

When placing students, our staff and administration utilize a wide range of criteria to create the best learning environment for each student.  Some of these criteria include, but are not limited to:

the personality and learning style of the child
academic strengths and needs of the child
learning behaviors of the child
special education and/or intervention services
information from previous teachers and school counselor

We value your collaborative input; however, there are aspects of grouping that we cannot consider when determining placement.  We respectfully request that you do not use this form to propose the following:

specific teacher requests
grouping based on siblings’ experience
grouping based on friends
grouping based on hearsay

Your input on this form will be used in our planning for your child rather than a letter requesting a specific teacher. Your consideration response is totally OPTIONAL,  although the feedback is a valuable source of information that helps us tremendously.    

This consideration form closes on Friday, May 8th.  Thank you for your help, especially as we recognize the demands during Distance Learning this spring.  The time, thought, and commitment put into the completion of this form is appreciated by our BCES team.
