Do you understand and accept that The Good News Garden is a ministry of St. David's Church and thus we are all guests in the Garden. Membership in the Good News Garden requests a minimum of one hour per month (from April through October) of service to the good of the community element of the garden and requests that you participate in the opening and closing of the garden. *

Gardeners are asked to maintain a pathway of wood chips at least 2 feet of wide between all of their plots and any neighboring gardener's plots. If there is currently not 2 feet between allotments, please work with your neighbor to figure out how to make and maintain a wood chip pathway to prevent weed creep and allow everyone safe access to plots. *

This year we are starting "teams" to build community responsibility for the entire garden, since it is a community ministry to be shared. We request that everyone will join at least 1 team (or 2). Please select any team you'd be interested in participating in this year. This is a work in progress, so some teams might combine depending on response and interest level. *

Pantry Patch Community Garden Team (planting, watering, weeding, harvesting)

Driving Team (picking up donated produce on Monday mornings and driving it to St. Mary's Ardmore Food Pantry)

Building Team (building new beds, building new compost bins, repairing gates, ordering supplies)

Coordinating and leading Big Work Days Team

Community Beds (starting and maintaining new communal beds for herbs, flowers, perennials)

Compost Team (turning, caring for compost bins)

Social Committee (planning social events)

Pathway Team (weeding and wood chip/mulching common large pathways)

Advisory Team (taking leadership for whole Good News Garden, maintain map and assignments) (perhaps lead a team?!)

Not sure I can join a team this year. Maybe next year.
