Program No 2 (Terms 3 & 4)

Dear Parents,

This comprehensive program includes instrumental Music, Dance and Singing programs and represents a quality that is available at few other State Primary Schools.  This is an excellent opportunity for children in grades 3-6 to participate in one of these quality programs:

Dance    Keyboard          Guitar          Percussion/Drums          Violin            Flute   Cello        Singing

Lessons  will be offered to children in grades 3 - 6 on a weekly basis. The children will be given a 30 minute lesson in a small group situation.  

We have limited spaces for children to participate in each program. Enrolment is based on a first come first served policy and positions will not be held for students who have previously participated in the program.

If you are interested in any other instruments please contact the office and we will try to assist you.

Hiring of Instruments:

If you wish your child to have an instrument at home to practise on, a limited number of Keyboards and Guitars are available for hire from the school, at a cost of $35 for the semester (2 terms i.e. July to December).

For those wishing to learn a string or wind instrument you MUST have YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT or be willing to HIRE AN INSTRUMENT to participate in classes. Silverton Primary School offers an INSTRUMENT HIRE FACILITY.  The rates have been negotiated through ‘Musicorp’ and with a further subsidy from the school, the cost to parents is very reasonable.

The various rates for hiring instruments next semester are included below for your consideration.

A $50.00 bond will apply to ALL instruments hired to students – this is refundable at the end of the program upon return of your instrument in good working condition by Friday 3rd December 2021.

Places are limited, so enrolments will be taken on a ‘first in first served’ basis.  Once the limit per instrument/class is reached, students will be placed on a waiting list.  Please complete this form and arrange payment to the school by Wednesday 23rd June 2021.
