Nature Hikes with the Friends at Huddart & Wunderlich Parks
Nature Hikes with the Friends is a unique nature hike designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade children to explore the local ecology of the redwood and oak woodlands of our Bay Area. Students hike in small groups with expert naturalists and explore the environment through guided inquiry. Our program incorporates the Next Generation Science Standards and serves as a model experiential outdoor science program. Most programs take place at Huddart County Park but outings to Wunderlich County Park can also be arranged.

We offer this program as a field trip for classes, outings for home-school children or interested scouting and other groups. We prefer to schedule programs on weekdays from 9:30-12:30 but special requests can be accommodated if naturalists are available.

Please let us know if you have any questions or special requests. Are there specific science, ecology or environmental topics you would like us to cover?
Do you have any children with special needs or accessibility issues? Please describe.
What mode of transportation do you usually use for field trips? There is a new ordinance restricting the size of buses and we are working on solutions to this issue on a case by case basis, so we just need to know if this will apply to your trip.
