Girls Link Up Pitch Competition - Mentor Interest

The Girls Link Up Youth Pitch Competition will take place tentatively in-person on Saturday, June 12, 2022. This is a pitch contest for girls in Georgia in grades 6 - 12. The purpose of this competition is to extend opportunities for young female entrepreneurs to access funding and capital needed to nourish their budding businesses. Our goal is to create a bridge in funding to improve the quality of life for the next generation of young women and girls of color.

It is a program for girls to receive mentorship and guidance as they connect their passions to problem solving solutions. This experience offers participants comprehensive mentorship and support from professionals specializing in business development, marketing, and branding. We believe the exposure will link participants to potential funders and peers who are equally passionate about solving problems through innovation. Event Host Committee (February 2022 - June 2022) - Work with the 3D Girls, Inc. to plan logistics, fundraise, and execute the event. This is a virtual + in -person opportunity that requires 10 hours per month.

Application Reviewer (April 1 - April 30, 2022) - Review application submissions from candidates using a provided rubric and attend a mandatory virtual training. This is a virtual opportunity that may require up to 8 hours of service depending on the number of applications received.

Girls Link Up Mentor - (May 15, 2022 - June 15, 2022) Business professionals are matched with a finalist to work 1:1, providing insightful, constructive and age-appropriate feedback throughout the competition. This is a 8-10 hours time commitment, mentoring a Girls Link Up Participant one-on-one within a 30 day period.

Event Content Creator - (Ongoing March 1 - June 2022) - spark creativity by designing and creating digital marketing content that promotes the event and highlights participants. Develop innovative and engaging content using various platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Blog Website etc.)

Day of Event Set Up & Break Down (June 12, 2022) Shifts will be available throughout the day to help with event logistics and special tasks. More details about the types of tasks will be released as we move closer to the event date.
