The Cincinnati Preschool Promise aims to provide our youngest students with the best start to school and life. We work to expand access to high-quality preschool by offering preschool tuition assistance to families who need it most. We also work with preschool providers to improve their Step Up to Quality star rating.

The Cincinnati Preschool Promise partners with the Cincinnati Public School District to help families who need it most. Through this partnership, qualified families are able to enroll their child in the public or community-based preschool of their choice.

This work is possible thanks to a significant investment from taxpayers, who approved a 5-year Cincinnati Public Schools levy with overwhelming support. The 2016 levy includes $33 million per year to strengthen K-12 education and $15 million per year to expand access to quality preschool. Because the levy was passed within the Cincinnati Public School district, all providers and participants must be located within the CPS district boundary.
