At this time, we are planning to gather in person (with a streaming option) for the following services: Rosh Hashanah Day 1, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur. In order to effectively plan and support contact tracing should the need arise, we are asking that each household intending to participate in-person complete the following registration form. Please consider your plans and provide your information no later than Friday August 20.

The following COVID protocols will be in place for all in-person services:
In person services will be held in the Ashland High School auditorium, which is larger than our usual site to allow for physical distancing. The auditorium is air-conditioned and there will be additional air filters in use. We are asking participants to sit in household pods with appropriate physical distancing between groups.
All in-person service participants must wear a well-fitting mask. At times the Rabbi and others addressing the congregation will be unmasked. They will be appropriately distanced from the congregation at those times.
In-person participants aged 12 and older, must be fully vaccinated. Children under age 12 may attend provided that they are masked.
We are currently working to modify our typical service script to shorten services to reduce the amount of time that our congregants are together indoors.
As you are aware, the public health situation is evolving, please monitor your email and the Sha'arei Shalom website for updates on service plans and COVID protocols. If you have questions, please contact Kate Fialky at
