PROGRAMS AND FEES:
MEMBER FEES - include FYC Members and direct Grandchildren of FYC Members. All others will pay the Non Member price.
1. Opti Beginner Learn to Sail -(children new to sailing Optis - or with limited experience) Ages 8-12 (limit 10) FYC Club owned Cube (sailboats) are provided.
FEES: $450 for FYC members - $550 for Non Members (beginners who use their personal Opti sailboat receive a $100 discount)
2. Intermediate Opti Ages 8-14 (Limit 8) FYC Club owned Fiberglass Optis are provided for FYC members (for up to 2 sessions). Non Members may use an FYC Fiberglass Opti for the first session then a charter fee will apply. "Intermediate Opti designation" will be assigned based on experience level and will be determined by the program directors. Intermediate sailors who attend regattas will have a $35 per day coaching fee charged.
FEES: $450 for FYC members - $550 for Non Members
3. Green Fleet/RWB Opti Race Team (By Invitation from Jr Program Director) Ages 8-15 Race Team fees cover the cost of practices and coaching at events designated during that season - travel expenses, coaches travel expenses, and boat storage fees are additional. Green Fleet Participants are required to own their own boat. Practices will be held a combination of weekday (Tuesday/Thursday) after school practices and Sundays.
FEES: $550 for FYC Members - $650 for Non Members
4. Beginner/Intermediate 420 sailing - ages 13-18 Learn to sail 420 class designed to get kids up to speed in the 420 (2 person) sailboat. These practices may be combined with the Laser/420 race team practices depending on practice turnout. Laser/420 fees do not include travel coaching to away events.
FEES: $450 for FYC Members - $550 for Non Members
5. Laser/Club 420 Race Team - ages 13-18 - This team will practice and train for Laser and Club 420 regatta. Building racing knowledge and will work on boat speed, boat handling, and racing tactics. Laser/420 Race Fees do NOT include coaching at Travel regattas - but DOES include coaching at FYC hosted Jr. Regattas.
FEES: $450 for FYC Members - $550 for Non Members
6. High School/Middle school Team Member - Sunday Add on. This is for Sailors currently enrolled in FYC High School/or Middle School Sailing and want to work on additional skills in a laser or club 420 on Sundays.
FEES: $100 for FYC Members - $150 for Non Members
Additional Fees: Opti and laser boat storage - Sailors Active in the current session of Youth Sailing will be billed 3 times per year - Spring, Summer and Fall to total $150 for FYC members - $345 for non members. Non Member boats may NOT be able to be stored on property if the child is not actively participating (paying for practice) each session. FYC Members not currently enrolled will pay the standard rate of $25 per month for storage.
Opti Charter boat for Intermediate Opti Sailors - FYC members receive 2 free charter sessions (spring/fall) before the Opti Charter fee kicks in. $150 per session for members (after 2 sessions) $200 per session for non members (after 1 session - one spring or 1 fall session)
