Stage Left Youth Players will create theatre in 48 Hours February 28 & 29, 2020! We are randomly forming competing teams of 6-8 youth to write, direct and perform 10-12 minute sketches based on a theme given to the teams on Thursday, February 27th at 6 PM. At that time, each team will draw a prop, line, song and mentor to utilize during the 48 hour creative process. Registration fee per person is $10 cash or check payable to Stage Left Players and is due by February 15th. (Send check to our business office PO Box 178, Kensington, Ohio 44427.)

GUIDELINES & RULES
1- The Resident Artistic Director will randomly create teams and ultimately designate and notify  writer, director and actors based on the information provided by participants.
2- The writer's ONLY role is to compose the play. S/he may join another team as an actor.
3- The mentor may be utilized as an actor in a minor role if needed.
4- Sketch material and improvisation is rated PG- mentor discretion is to be followed, and any concerns will be directed to and approved by the resident artistic director.
5- Tech rehearsal times will be drawn at random and are set in STONE. Show up and keep to your ONE HOUR time slot to be guaranteed lighting and sound cues. (You may negotiate time slots with another team if  agreeable.)

1- Theme connection
2- Prop utilization
3- Line incorporation
4- Song incorporation
5- Script- original, relevant, cohesive
6- Performance- Characters: clarity, volume, risk-taking
7- Direction- Focus-: Can the audience follow the story?
