This award is presented to an outstanding business owner. This recipient will have displayed community involvement or provided a positive experience in our community. Eligible recipients are an active member of the Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce and are in good standing and must have been in business for at least 5 years.
TOURISM AND/OR ATTRACTIONS | Sponsored by: CHUCK'S ROADHOUSE
This award will be presented to an outstanding attraction and/or tourism business, that has improved the allure for the community and for tourists who visit Wasaga Beach. Examples of attraction and tourism businesses include spas, indoor playgrounds, extreme sports or adventures, and/or recreational facilities.
RESTAURANT/FOOD & BEVERAGE | Sponsored by: THE SUN
This award will be presented to an outstanding business owner who has provided a high level of business service in the restaurant or food and beverage sectors.
ATHENA AWARD | Sponsored by: WASAGA TAX & ACCOUNTING
This prestigious award recognizes stellar leadership ability by a business woman in Wasaga Beach. She will have been in business for a minimum of 12 months and had a positive impact on the community.
MARKETING AND/OR PROMOTIONS | Sponsored by: RBC ROYAL BANK
This award will be presented to a business that has created advertising/marketing/promotion to bring attention to their business and/or help promote Wasaga Beach and Area. This recipient must have been in business for a minimum of 12 months.
SERVICE CLUB/NOT FOR PROFIT | Sponsored by: CAITHKIN TREATMENT FOSTER HOMES
This award is given to a business that has been open a minimum of 12 months and has made a positive difference in Wasaga Beach, either through volunteering or financial support to activities which enrich, protect or entertain the citizens of Wasaga Beach.
SERVICE INDUSTRY | Sponsored by: TD BANK
An award will be presented to an outstanding business person who has provided an exemplary level of professional service. Examples include massage therapist, lawyer, doctor, chiropractor, etc; any professional service business that requires professional training and/or an occupational license.
RENOVATED BUSINESS OF THE YEAR | Sponsored by: RE/MAX OF WASAGA BEACH INC. BROKERAGE
The recipient of this award will have done significant upgrades and/or renovations to an existing building. They must be an existing business and have been in business for at least 12 months.
TRADES PERSON OR BUSINESS OF THE YEAR | Sponsored by: ALTA VISTA PLANNING PARTNERS INC
This award will be presented to a member of the community that provides a much needed Trade. This could be an electrician, plumber, drywaller, mason, or any of those types of companies. The recipient of this award will have provided excellent trades work and been professional and exhibited courtesy and good customer service. The recipient of this award will have been in business for at least 12 months.

This award will be presented to an outstanding accomodation that hs provided excellent customer service to the guests that come to Wasaga Beach and stay at their establishment. The recipient of this award will have gone above and beyond to make sure guests have a positive experience. They will have acted as an ambassador for our town. This winner will have been in business for at least 12 months.
NEW BUSINESS OF THE YEAR | Sponsored by: MARTELLA TILING SERVICES INC
This new business will have tapered their business to meet or surpass the changing demands of their customers. This business will have been opened for no less than 6 months and no more than 2 years and will have provided a high level of service and/or product needed in Wasaga Beach.

This award will be given to a young business person under the age of 39, who through their own commitment has built a successful business or contributed significantly to the success of one. The individual will have been an inspiration to a new generation of upcoming young business people. (Must be in business or employed for a minimum of 12 months)
CUSTOMER SERVICE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD | Sponsored by: CANADIAN TIRE WASAGA BEACH
An award will be presented to an outstanding individual, team, and/or employee, who has presented Wasaga Beach with an excellent ongoing level of customer service. This award is open to every type of established business.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD | Sponsored by: GEORGIAN COLLEGE SOUTH GEORGIAN BAY CAMPUS
This award will be given to any person that has continued their education. The recipient may have gone directly to College or University, or has returned as a mature adult. To be eligible, recipient must be attending or have graduated from the course within the last 6 months.
