The Studios of Key West is thrilled to announce the return of One Night Stand On Saturday, June 25, the lightning-quick theater project that develops four brand new pieces of theatre from start to finish in only 24 hours.

The night before the show, over fifty talented locals come together to split into teams that will share ideas, props, costumes, and stories to magically create five brand new 10-minute plays, working together at a wickedly fast pace to make the project come to fruition.

Playwrights write all night to deliver freshly penned scripts to The Studios on Saturday morning, just in time for actors, directors, and artists to pick up the creative baton. Actors spend the whole day learning lines and getting into character, artists create canvas backdrops for each of the new plays, and directors play ringmaster, working to keep focus and momentum throughout the day.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED: We’re looking for actors, directors, writers, and artists (at all levels of experience from newbies - to pros) plus LOTS of people to help behind the scenes, by serving as artist assistants, stage managers, and costume and props people – so if you are also willing to help in this capacity – we want to hear from you!

ABOUT THE EVENT: There will be two performances at 7 pm and 9 pm on Saturday, June 25 at The Studios, and all participants must attend the kick-off reception the night before on Friday, June 24 at 7pm at The Studios. Participants will need to be available ALL DAY on Saturday, beginning at 8am and running through the final performance, which will end a little before 11pm. It’s a long – but fun – and adrenaline packed day! A few short breaks will be scheduled throughout the day.
