Amherst Island Blooms is a new initiative to get island residents involved in gardening for personal wellbeing, enhancing the inherent beauty of this Gem of Lake Ontario, and to benefit our wildlife. Any garden can be nominated, including your own, and nominees will be awarded an Amherst Island Blooms Recognition Marker that can be proudly displayed in your gardens this summer. In subsequent years, you can challenge yourself to meet the new the nomination criteria, which will likely be built on from year to year. Let’s do this!
