Rules and Guidelines for LIFT Programs
Participants of LIFT's programs hereby agree to abide by all of the rules and policies developed by the staff members and volunteers of LIFT, as stated below:

1. Participants are expected at ALL times to treat staff, volunteers and peers with respect and consideration. TEASING, BULLYING or CONFRONTATION are strictly PROHIBITED.
2. We expect that all equipment and property of LIFT be treated with respect and care.
3. Members will be responsible for any damage they cause at LIFT or during any activities organized by LIFT. Participants are responsible for returning any equipment in the same condition at the end of the activity prior to leaving.
4. No weapons or fighting.
5. No smoking, drugs, alcohol or gambling.
6. Use appropriate language.
7. Clean up after yourself. Throw away trash. Cans and recycling are to go in properly designated receptacles. Excessive trash from snacks may result in limited snacks.
8. Participants are responsible for informing LIFT staff and volunteers if they require transportation. They are also responsible for being on time for pickup.
9. Violation of these rules at LIFT programming will jeopardize your privileges in these programs.

Being involved in LIFT programs is a privilege. Members are expected to exhibit good behavior and follow all rules made by staff and volunteers.

LIFT enforces a three-strike policy to provide youth with ample opportunity to correct any discouraged or disruptive behavior:

FIRST OFFENSE: Failure to exhibit good behavior will result in a verbal warning.
SECOND OFFENSE: Parent/Guardian will be notified by letter that any additional offenses will result in loss of program privileges.
THIRD OFFENSE: Loss of LIFT programs and privileges for the year.

Parents/Guardians -
We are looking for volunteers, financial donations, and donated items from our wishlist to help keep our programs free and accessible to Leelanau County's teens. Each month, requested items will be posted on the LIFT website:

Do you agree to the rules and guidelines as they are written here for LIFT's programs with the understanding that violation of these policies could jeopardize your youth's privileges to participate in our programs?
We take pride in showcasing all the good our students are doing, and all the fun we have together. That said, we enjoy taking photos of our activities & student participants.

Do you agree that photos of your students while engaging in LIFT activities may occasionally be posted to LIFT social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, website & any promotional materials)?
