Try skating, meet friends, stay active and have fun!
May 19 | June 23 | July 21 | August 11
Eden Prairie Community Center
Join us for our NEW "TRY SKATING ~ Girls Summer Series" for girls ages 5-10 to try skating, learn about hockey, build confidence, have fun, meet friends, and win prizes! (SIGN UP FORM BELOW)
WHAT: On-ice games, races, skills, music, drills and fun with EPHA girl hockey helpers! We’re inviting girls of ALL ABILITIES (especially brand-new skaters) to learn to skate. Post-event meet & greet, free snacks, prizes, bracelet making, hair tinsel stations, puppies and much more! (Allow 15-25 minutes for off-ice activities at EPCC after each skating session)
WHAT DO I NEED: Bring a big smile, great attitude, and willingness to try something new. Figure skates will be available FREE of charge, hockey skates also welcome. As long as you have a helmet on, you’re good to go. Hockey equipment is optional. Snowpants and a sweatshirt work for us if it works for you.
WHEN: One session per month starting in May, June, July and August.
Sessions will have a progression from basic skating, into introduction to
hockey and equipment (w/ rentals), and plenty of opportunities to meet current
hockey players/families, ask Q's, and learn more about the Eden Prairie Hockey
Association!
WHO: GIRLS ages 5-10 interested in learning to skate, trying hockey, supporting a friend, staying active, having fun, meeting friends and trying something new! Really working to capture NEW Skaters and families who want to learn more about skating and hockey this summer. NO EXPERIENCE necessary.
More information will be made available ahead of the event! If you have additional questions, please contact Maria Waltman, Girls Director at girlshockey@ephockey.com.
