For your information, student groups will ideally be comprised of students with diverse legal substantive interests, to facilitate the most air time for the student whose legal substantive interests matches with the attorney's practice. If none of the students in your group are interested in the attorney's practice area, perhaps consider asking for tips on the California Bar Exam.
