In the state of Texas, students can work as election clerks at the age of 16.
You must be a U.S. citizen.
APPLICATION
If you are a
high school student, please fill out this
application/permission form and send the completed form to
eltraining@bexar.org and
youthdovote@gmail.com. Youth Do Vote will follow up with Bexar County Elections Department, if necessary, to be sure they received your application.
TRAINING
In-person: Bexar County Elections Department provides training.
BCED is located at: 1103 S. Frio St.
**Once you complete the online training please email (eltraining@bexar.org) or mail a copy of your certificate of completion to our office. Also, keep a copy for your records. Should you complete the online training you do NOT need to attend the face-to-face training.

f you are older than 18 and registered to vote in Bexar County, you can apply to work as a Presiding Judge, Alternate Judge, or Election Clerk for Bexar County Elections Deparment. Learn more here.
