Hey there. Thanks for your interest in the What Happened on December 21st, 2019 Essay Daily project.

As you know, we first wrote about What Happened on June 21, 2018 (about which, more info here: http://www.essaydaily.org/p/what-happened-on-62118.html). We published about 250 of your reports on the day throughout June and July, 2018. We ended up anthologizing 25 of the contributions, and released them on June 21, 2019.

We thought: hey, that was fun. Maybe let's do it again. So we're going to, on December 21, 2019. If you're interested in participating, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WRITE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS ON 12.21.19. Nothing else! No need even to fill out this here form.

But: life is busy. It's easy to forget about this stuff. If you want a reminder, put your email below and we'll send you a reminder the day before, the morning of, and the day after.

This is open to anyone: you don't need to have RSVPed to participate, but if you do RSVP, you'll get email reminders. So spread the word to whoever. The more the merrier.

And about Essay Daily: if you're a first-time visitor, we publish essays about essays and essayists not quite daily, but most Mondays, and sometimes a lot more often. We invite submissions and pitches (contact info on the website). Drop us a line.
