The organizers of Salsa @ City Hall are committed to providing an environment that is governed by respect and regard for the rights and dignity of all. We pledge to do what we can to create a safer, more inclusive, respectful environment where artists and attendees can thrive, free from harassment including sexual harassment, discrimination, racism, bullying and violence. In addition, Salsa @ City Hall has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to the consumption of alcohol and recreational drugs on premises.
We ask that all attendees respect our values and respect everyone in the community. If you have witnessed or been part of an incident that you feel merits our attention, we invite you to fill out the incident form below.
Please note that although you can submit an incident anonymously, in cases where substantive action is requested (such as requesting to ban or remove an individual from the premises) you will be required to provide your name and contact information for further follow up.
Given that Salsa at City Hall is a free event in a public outdoor space provided by the City of Ottawa, we may be limited in the types of actions we are able to take. That said, we take all incidents seriously and will consult with the city and hired security when and if deemed appropriate.
