Poetry reading, creative inspiration, and poetry writing! For Whatcom County Youth ages 4-18.

Which Youth Peace Poetry Events are you interested in attending? At Poetry Workshops, participants will watch a brief introduction on poetry styles, listen to and practice different forms of poetry, compose poems, and share their own work or other poems that inspire them. Writing materials will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own as well. Contest submissions close on June 14th. Our poetry reading on September 18th is open to any Whatcom County youth, whether or not they have submitted poetry to our contest or attended a workshop first. Come share your peace-themed poetry with peers!

Poetry Workshop. Friday, April 5th, 4-5pm at the Bellingham Public Library

Poetry Workshop. Wednesday, May 1st, 4-5pm at Village Books in Fairhaven

Poetry Workshop. Friday, May 24th, 4-5pm at Lynden Public Library

Poetry Workshop. Friday, June 7th, 4-5pm virtually (meeting link will be emailed out to registrants)

Poetry Reading (You can select this option by itself or in addition to a workshop). Wednesday, September 18th, 6-7pm at Village Books Fairhaven.
