Spring 2023 NCOEA STRS Election event grant application  

On February 2nd, 2023, the NCOEA Executive Committee passed a motion to create a special one-time grant to locals to reimburse up to $2 per member in their local in order to encourage member participation in the STRS Board of Directors election in April 2023. This grant may NOT be used for the following:  any release time, office equipment or supplies, website or webmasters, alcoholic beverages, or stipends. Applicants will be informed of the status of their application by March 31st.

What is your local planning to do to encourage members voting in the April 2023 STRS election?  (Action Plan)

How will you know how many members to expect at your event? (The grant is for $2 per member actually participating in the election event).
How will you plan to spend NCOEA grant money?  (You must submit an itemized breakdown where the funding dollars were used and all the receipts for the expenses. When gift cards are used, the list of members who receive the gift cards must be included with that receipt.)
What is the timeline for what needs to be done and when and who is  responsible for doing it before, during, and after your event?
