Cloth Confessions 2019: Envelope Style Book Sleeve

Sunday, April 28, 2019, 10am-4pm, FREE

Inspired by Indian mirror purses, participants will learn to create their own envelope style books sleeve using dry felting techniques. Basic embroidery stitches will be taught to add personal touches. With the opportunity to see and touch historic textiles from our Education Collection, this workshop will encourage conversations on personal narratives and inspire participants to tell a story on their book sleeves. Participants are invited to bring personal textiles to talk about or to include in their work.

Facilitated by Khadija Aziz. Free with admission. Please register by submitting this form as space is limited. No previous experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
