Stonewall Sentries Recruitment Form
In the early hours of the 28th of June,1969, a police force enacted a violent and unwarranted raid on the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NYC. To this point, the Stonewall and its neighbors had been some of the first and very few places in the country that openly welcomed and celebrated queer patrons, along with their friends, family, and allies. The patrons, employees, and other heroes fought back against the attack, a spark that would ignite people’s hearts and lead to the queer community banding together. Now, these events are widely considered to be one of the driving forces leading to the gay liberation movement, and the ongoing fight for LGBTQIA2+ rights in America. They started within hours, and some of those fights continue to this day, but Stonewall will ever be a reminder that we can - and will - stand up for what we know is true and right. Welcome to the Stonewall Sentries.

Stonewall Sentries is a LGBTQIA2+ focused semi-casual Free Company and Linkshell that focuses on providing an inclusive space for queer folks, helping members clear content, and forming lasting friendships through community and compassion. We are unapologetically ourselves and wear our pride whenever and wherever we can. Our home always has a pride flag on the lawn and a warm welcome when you log in! We strive to provide a place of peace, comfort and acceptance to all of our friends and allies. As such, the few ‘rules’ we do have are meant to exemplify that while being simple and inclusive.

*We are an 18+ community, by acknowledging you’ve read the rules you’ve also confirmed you meet the age requirement to join.

*Please be respectful of each other's pronouns.  If someone in the discord has their pronouns with their name, please use those.  If someone is using they/them or has no pronouns next to their name, please use gender inclusive language like “yall, gang, friend” etc,.

*Respect peoples triggers. If you feel something you want to say may be harmful or offensive to another person who could read or hear it, keep it to yourself.  If you feel it’s important and needs to be said, speak to one of the moderators about it first.

*Use of curse words and innuendo are understandable, but limit vulgarity in all FC spaces.  Keeping language in check comes with the territory of providing an inclusive space.  By all means, cuss like a sailor, but do not call anyone names as a joke (i.e. 'hey bitch!').

*No solicitation in the Discord server outside of mutual-aid if you or someone you know needs assistance or guidance to resources.

Stonewall Sentries Social Tenets

*Be kind to everyone.  Remember that you represent Stonewall Sentries even when you’re not hanging out with one of the members of the guild.  We have a zero tolerance stance on name calling and bullying.  Just don't do it.

*Do not engage with anyone who is being a bully. It doesn’t happen often in this game, but sadly nowhere is perfectly safe. Remember they’re just trying to goad you and get a reaction. Instead, take screen shots however you need to, and file a report. If you’re unsure how to file a report on another player please feel free to reach out in Discord.

Voice Chat Etiquette

*Try not to speak over each other.  There are those among us that get overstimulated very easily and a lot of voices speaking over each other can be one of those overstim triggers.  Understandably, voice chat can get crazy.  So just do your best, taters ♥

*Please consider muting yourself or setting up push-to-talk in Discord if you have mic issues.  We’d much rather you be able to come and listen and type in party chat than not join at all!

*Please try not to use “stream of consciousness” speaking voice chat - narrating what you’re doing in game would be an example of this.

*On movie nights it’s requested we all MUTE and use movie-chat  to talk during the viewing.

Event Etiquette

*Try to be online 5-10 minutes early to gather together and form the party.
Before the event please try to make sure you meet all the requirements and have it unlocked (unless the unlock process is listed as part of the event).

*Ask in the FC or Discord if you aren’t sure if you have something unlocked so we can help you before the event.

*Be courteous and kind to the party leader, who has set up the event for the benefit of everyone.
