Two Variable Linear Equations
A two variable linear equation is a system that can be written in the form ax + by = c where in a, b, and c are constants. The system is called a linear equation if the variables are only to the first power, are only in the numerator and there are not products of variables in the equation. A solution to a system of equations is a value of x and a value of y such that when substituted into the equations, it satisfies both equations at the same time.

Learning objectives:

- to identify two variable linear equations
- to transform two variable linear equations in the form ax + by + c = 0
- to solve for the two variables in a linear equation
