Virtual or In Person Learning
In response to Covid-19, ANSM moved its training, including the Museum Studies Program to virtual offerings. Once this current wave of Covid-19 is passed, we anticipate gathering restrictions will allow us to return to in-person. As a members-based organization, we feel this decision should be made by the membership. Both forms of training have advantages and disadvantages.

In-Person: offered over full days, provides important networking opportunities, allows for better group discussion, training can be more hands-on, smaller groups result in higher costs to offer training, requires travel, cake can be shared

Virtual: offered over several weeks for just a few hours each week, no travel expenses/time, larger groups can participate resulting in reduced registration costs and more people getting the training, networking much more difficult, people are tired of virtual learning
