Becker Bobcats Running Team
Our Becker Running team is free thanks to the David Phillips Foundation. The purpose of our running team is to train for the Cap10K. The Cap10k is a 6.2 mile race which takes most kiddos over an hour or close to an hour to complete.

Last year we had 83 students and 81 adults (staff/parents/family/friends) compete at the Cap10K!

Our running team will meet twice weekly after school. Click here to see the calendar: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_uu1VlhRrf2D5EByU1WitWNbBaFyjoqe/view?usp=sharing
If your child goes to an after school program at Becker, they can still participate. We'll make sure they go to their program after practice is over.

Students who can't practice with their team because of time constraints can still run the cap10k as long as they do the training on their own.

The cost for the cap10k is $55 per student, if cost is an issue please reach out and we can provide need-based scholarships.

I will be sending any last minute updates by e-mail or our GroupMe text thread.

My child,  _________ is interested in joining the running team! (insert name below) *
My child's teacher is ______________. *
Are you interested in volunteering during running team practice?
Does your child attend an after school program? If, so which one? We will release and accompany them to their program at the end of practice.
Do you plan to run/walk with your child on race day?
Clear selection
Are you interested in being a chaperone/pacer for one of our running/walking groups? If so, what pace would you be interested in chaperoning? We'll need a wide range of paces. If you're nervous about keeping up with your kiddo, you can always volunteer for a different pace than your child's pace.
On race day, does your child have permission to run ahead of the pace group if they'd like to go faster? (As long as they are within eye range)
Do you have any other questions I can answer?
