The theme for the Southeastern Association for Science Teacher Education (SASTE) 2020 conference is "STEM in the Community." Participants arriving on Friday (October 2, 2020) will have an opportunity to participate in an afternoon hike on the Lake Zwerner Trail around the Yahoola Creek Reservoir (3.2 miles – rated moderate) and attend an evening social in Dahlonega! The conference will begin Saturday morning (October 3, 2020) and will include 1) presentations (traditional, works in progress, and advice in the trenches), 2) a session for mentoring and dialogue between regional members, and 3) our keynote speaker, Dr. Rosann Kent, Director of Appalachian Studies Center at the University of North Georgia. Please note that you must be a current SASTE member to present.
