BWW Writer’s Symposium - Call For Presenters

The Black Writers Workspace will host its first Writer’s Symposium on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9 AM - 4 PM. The virtual event is designed to help writers further develop their writing techniques, craft ‘best-selling’ works of art, and develop marketing tools for increased global book sales.

We are looking for a diverse group of presenters to host 30 minutes to 1.5-hour virtual sessions on select topics. By completing this form, you are agreeing to be considered as a volunteer presenter. As a presenter, you will be asked to:

- Identify a topic of discussion
- Develop a presentation (with or without visual aids)
- Develop a session abstract (short presentation synopsis)
- Identify your presentation’s primary and secondary target audience
- Commit to pre-event promotion on your social media pages and/or to your email database

For your time and expertise, we will provide you with:
- A free exhibit booth at our next book fair tentatively scheduled for July 30, 2021 (value $75)
- A feature in a BWW weekly enewsletter (value $60)
- A pre-event live streamed interview
- Promotion of your book or services on all BWW social media accounts (6,000 + followers)
