How Women Succeed in Tech – a Global Survey
This survey asks about real-life examples of how women worldwide succeed in tech: what has helped us succeed and what has blocked or limited our progress.

What do we mean by “Women in Tech”? Women working in any function (R&D, HR, services, finance) in the tech sector (software, hardware…) or in tech-related functions in other sectors (e.g. IT, cybersecurity…).

The survey has been designed by two women working in tech, Dr Patricia Gestoso and Fionnuala O’Conor. We will share the outputs through articles, social media discussions, talks, our advisory work, and a book.

You can complete the survey anonymously. If you would like to be kept informed about the survey findings and/or be involved in further research, please share your contact details at the end of the form. You can opt out of contact at any time.

We will not track respondents’ IP addresses nor have we incorporated identifiable custom data or custom variables in the survey. We will not be selling disaggregated data from the survey or sharing information that could be used to identify participants with anyone, ever. We will store and manage survey responses in full compliance with GDPR.

We estimate the survey may take around 5 to 15 minutes to complete. Because some questions ask for free-text responses, it may be easier to complete using a full-sized keyboard.

Thanks for sharing the major blockers and enablers for your career progression in tech.
