Farmers Markets Support
Are you a fan of locally sourced, high-quality food, grown in Washington State? Want to be a part of local sustainable agriculture? Volunteer with FARMore WA at any or ALL of our ongoing community building opportunities:
- Volunteer at The Ballard, Wallingford and/or Madrona Farmers Markets: Volunteers help with setting up the market in the morning & breaking it down at the end of the market day. This may include lifting heavy items (no more than 50lbs.), monitoring market activity from your designated post, changing out garbage/recycling/compost bins, greeting customers, directing customers with questions, interacting with vendors, assisting with our non-profit merchandise booth, public education, fundraising events, and being a friendly face at the market!
- Sweat Equity Program: A Growing Forward Collaborative where volunteers provide hands-on assistance at a Washington State Farm. If you're passionate about fostering growth and resilience in Washington state's farms, we welcome your involvement! Our program is dedicated to fostering stronger connections between urban and agricultural communities through service and education initiatives.
Please note: Volunteers under the age of 18-years old need written permission from a parent or guardian to participate. All participants will be asked to sign a waiver.
We are looking forward to working with you soon!
