Thank you for taking time to share your nominations! Those nominated will be prayerfully reviewed by the Nominations Committee and full Council. Some of those nominated will be invited to prayerfully consider accepting the role.
As you make nominations, please be aware of the nature of Elder and Deacon responsibilities. In general:
Elders, with the Pastor, shall oversee the doctrine and life of the members of the congregation and fellow office bearers, shall exercise admonition and discipline along with pastoral care in the congregation. They shall participate in and promote evangelism, and shall defend the faith.
Deacons are chosen to lead and empower others towards Christian services within FIC and beyond. Deacons serve to see compassion, ministry, stewardship, and justice thrive.
In both cases, nominees for Elder and Deacon will have had an established history with Family in Christ Church.
Deadline to nominate is May 22nd.
