The LBCS PTC is looking for ways to improve and expand the level of communication and the services we can provide to the school and families of our students.  We need your help to accomplish this task. Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions.  Your feedback will help us in our quest to determine the best ways to communicate with you as well as increase parental participation in classroom, school activities and events.  

Input from this survey provides us with valuable insights that illuminate our areas of strength as well as areas for continued growth.  All answers are confidential and anonymous.

What the PTC Offers: As our LBCS family grows and changes, the focus of the PTC may adapt to better meet the needs of our evolving school community.  Given this, we want to know what areas of focus you value most.  Please rate the following using a scale of 1-5 with 1 meaning not important at all and 5 representing extremely important – any item that should be a priority:

Collect/Raise monetary donations to increase media/library and technology resources
Collect/Raise monetary donations to support second language, music, art and physical education programs
Family-focused social events (fall carnival, family nights, restaurant nights, new family BBQ, mother/son and father/daughter night etc.)
Hold monthly PTC general meetings that rotate between day and evening start time
Playground maintenance (includes purchasing new equipment, maintaining the grounds, providing enhancements)
Provide funds for supplemental classroom materials
Provide staff appreciation (Teacher Appreciation Week, monthly staff lunches, staff birthdays etc.)
Provide support for teachers through classroom supply funds, class volunteers, parent education, etc.
Sponsor community education programs (Internet safety, dealing with bullying, etc.)
Sponsor enrichment programs such as special presentations, assemblies and guest speakers that enhance IB curriculum, art enrichment and character education etc.
Provide funds for school athletic teams (equipment and uniforms)
Support/fund teacher training (IB training, curriculum/staff development, workshops etc.)
Subsidize expenses to reduce family costs for field trips
