DI meetings/practices occur at various times, usually at the home of the team manager, due to the space needed to create the team’s solution. It is sometimes necessary to adjust meeting times/duration as the school year progresses. Sometimes teams must be formed partially based on when students are available, but sometimes that availability changes and the team adjusts its times. Team managers will communicate with team members and parents about team meetings. FLEXIBILITY is a key component to being a successful DI team member (and parent!).
Please indicate below any and all times that will USUALLY work for you for practices/meetings:
3:30-5:30
6:00-8:00
1:30-3:30
Mondays
Tuesdays
Wednesdays
Thursdays
Fridays
Saturdays
Sundays
One of the best things about DI is that it involves parents! When your child is in high school, sometimes these opportunities are limited, but DI teams definitely benefit from parent involvement! Please indicate how interested YOU as a parent are in being a Team Manager (alone or with a helper) with a DI team this year. *
Sometimes Team Manager volunteers are not able to HOST in-person DI meetings, so please indicate your response below regarding helping in this manner. (Note: a somewhat large open area like a garage, basement, covered patio, etc. is usually needed, especially once teams get past the "brainstorming" stage of the problem-solving process). *
Rank student's top 3 choices for Challenge (read this year's Challenge Synopses HERE).
