Please note:
In the past we offered the possibility of paying yearly dues through an agreement to authorize us to collect your annual dues automatically from your bank account (Lastschriftverfahren). Unfortunately this lead to vulnerabilities that enabled criminals to steal money from our account. We have, therefore, discontinued this procedure and blocked this feature for our account. The only way now to pay your annual dues is to transfer the money to our account or send us a check. For amounts up to 200 € your bank receipt (Bankauszug) is sufficient for tax purposes within Germany. For larger amounts we will issue an official receipt.

Since we are a tax-exempt corporation under German law (gemeinnütziger Verein) we have to adhere to certain legal guidelines in order to maintain our tax- exempt status. These are specified in the constitution on the back of this document. The legal representation of the association is a board consisting of three officers – a chairperson, a treasurer and a secretary. This is the legal minimum for our type of organization. In addition there are numerous other offices such as chairs for individual cities, Alumni Schools Committee Chair, Book Award Chair, Young Alumni Chair, etc. which are filled according to the volunteers available. Members are encouraged to initiate projects consistent with the official goals of the association as detailed in the constitution.

As a Princeton alumnus/alumna living in Germany you are not automatically a member of the PAA of Germany. You become a member by submitting the application and paying the annual dues. We compile our official membership list on the basis of the bank transfers. If you have not transferred dues within a given calendar year, we assume that you no longer want to be a member and remove your name from the membership list.
