The 2024 MN PTA Advocacy Hunt - Challenge 5
Challenge #5 will get you information on your school district budget for NEXT school year (2024-25) and how your PTA members can give their input to the development of that budget.  For every answer you enter into the form, your PTA will get an entry into a drawing for a gift card or gift certificate to use in your Teacher Appreciation events in May of 2024. Only one submission will be accepted from each PTA per Challenge. 

Your Challenge 5 assignments are below:

#1 Find out when your school board will be discussing next year’s budget (2024-25). (Example: Edina School District) Tips: ▶Use the links to your school board agendas and minutes page to search for “2024-25 budget” or “FY2025 budget” ▶  Search your school district website for the word “budget” - some districts provide specific web pages that track their budget development process ▶  Email your school board Chair to ask when the school board plans to discuss the 2024-25 budget. #2 Find out if your District will be hosting any public input or listening sessions related to the 2024-25 budget.  Tips: ▶  Search your school district website for the word “budget” - some districts provide specific web pages that track their budget development process ▶  Email your school board Chair to ask when the school board plans to discuss the 2024-25 budget.
