Original Farmer's Market 2023 Application
Greetings applicants! The 2023 farmers' market season is fast approaching. From its inception, the Indianapolis City Market served as the food hub for locally-grown and produced foods and goods. To honor our mission, we reflect a diversified local group of growers, producers, chefs and creators who make great efforts to keep products as locally sourced as they are able. In addition, we need individuals to provide outdoor services to our patrons in the spirit of market day.

The purpose of the outdoor market is to create food accessibility from local farms; educate patrons on how their food is grown; and ultimately stimulate the historic landmark's location with more programming and fun. Note that a part of the educational component includes tracing to the source all items for consumption, such as fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy products.

When purchased from the market, we educate our customers about the origins of the foods they eat and products used. The State of Indiana requires that vendors grossing more than $25,000 in annual sales respond to this question. For all others, it is optional.
Can you trace the produce you sell to its origin? *
Do you agree to label your products with where your produce/product was grown or created? We are obligated to trace where produce and products came from in case of foodborne illness outbreaks. Therefore, produce or products that have been in the food auction pipeline at any time are prohibited at this market. Additionally, vendors are required to submit a listing of which farms or businesses produce and products where purchased from if not grown or produced solely by vendor. *
